Ongoing, established in 2008, is a warehouse management system (WMS) from Sweden and is the most used cloud-based WMS in the Nordics, with more than 13 000 users handling orders daily.

Let's get somewhat technical
A warehouse integration should "just work", but for those curious about the technology behind it, here's a little something for you.
Our integrations work as a chain of automated steps. For example, within Business Central (BC) we have mappings that, based on your requirments, define which data gets exported.
All integrations communicate through our cloud service, CIP. It reads messages from BC, transforms them into each integration's required format, and handles secure delivery to the recipient.
The system ensures reliable message handling. If any step is temporarily unavailable, messages are safely retained until the next step can process them. You'll receive email notifications if any errors occur.

Questions & Answers
Are both BC and Ongoing cloud based systems?
BC can technically exist both as OnPrem and as a cloud based system. However the cloud version, also known as BCO, is by far the most common.
Ongoing is a cloud based system.
Can Golden EDI integrate to all main processes in Ongoing?
Yes, however some variants of the main processes are not suitable when working with integration to BC. For example, not all ways to handle a customer return order in Ongoing are supported when working with integration to BC.
Why integrate BC to Ongoing and not directly from my webshop?
It's quite common for small businesses to integrate directly to the WMS and get the information to BC first after the shipment from the warehouse has been done.
Working with integrating the webshop to BC, and then BC to the WMS gives a better overview inside BC. Just to mention some, you have the possibility to access functionalities for replenishment and cash flow forecast.
Can I use integration from Golden EDI for Ongoing use both at 3PL and internally?
Yes. Our integration works perfectly in both cases.
Can I use different locations in BC for my Ongoing integration?
Yes. The functionality called "ArticleItemStatus" in Ongoing is a great way to match different locations in BC.
